Sardbay Quarry

This is a photo of the Sardinia Bay Quarry on 20 May 2009

The far left hand area has just been seeded with Grass seeds, and they should germinate by early June. By the end of July this area will be GREEN,

and within 6 months, the secondary phase of succession will have started. In a years time there will be numerous species of Fynbos growing in this area,

and within 2 years, rehabilitation will be complete, and the flora will be stable. Once would not be able to tell that a quarry had ever existed here!

Once again, a testimony to the committment that the company has to being environmentally sensible and friendly . We always maintain that a quarry

is able to improve a landscape and not destroy it, provided the owner/operator is committed to the right principles.
