Glendore Sand and Stone has been a leading supplier of quality sand & stone in the Eastern Cape since 1986. We have always valued our long standing relationships with our customers and strive for quality products and service.

Starting with one location in Pari Park, Port Elizabeth, we have now grown to three locations throughout the Nelson Mandela Metropole.

With these facilities strategically spread throughout the area and established relationships with other quarries and transport operators, we are able to provide quick response times and excellent service. We have over 30 of our own trucks and work with over 20 sub-haulers.

Being no strangers to producing quality material, we have aggregate plants as well. Our main facility is the Amanzi Quarry, between Motherwell and Uitenhage. Here we produce and supply the construction industry with numerous construction aggregates. We are also able to supply the landscaping industry with stone products.

Let our trained sales and dispatch force do the work for you. Our service extends past the ability to truck the material to your jobsite. Let us do the leg work for you, we will find the material and utilize our buying power to get you the best possible pricing.

Our staff can assist in reading gradations to make sure you receive your specified material and we can also submit samples for you.

Our quality control department works very close with our suppliers to guarantee quality aggregates that are in spec.

We will take ownership of the whole order from pricing to invoicing. We can provide quotes while you are on the phone and orders can be placed through the same dispatch and sales office.

It only takes one phone call to order your material and set up trucking. Billing is simple this way, just one phone call and just one invoice. This way you only have to worry about paying for the material, by the tonnage received.

We are the largest supplier of Sand and Stone to the Construction market in the Eastern Cape and although focused on the Nelson Mandela Metropole, we are able to supply the whole of the Eastern Cape region from Tsitsikamma in the West, to Middelburg in the north, and as far as Alice in the East.

We are committed to conducting all our business activities in an environmentally responsible manner and are also committed to the health and safety of our valued staff and customers.

Tax Breaks for R1 Billion Coega Cement Facilities - 26 March 2014

TAX BREAKS FOR R1 BILLION COEGA CEMENT FACILITIES

The Department of Trade and Industry has published its decision to approve application for a tax allowance in terms of Section 12I of the Income Tax Act for two cement factories planned for the Coega Industrial Development Zone (IDC).

The tax allowances have been published by Trade and Industry in the Government Gazette.

AfriSam that intends to invest R634 million in the IDZ has been approved by Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies as a Greenfield project with the total potential national revenue sacrificed as a result of the allowances R66.2 million.

DTI states that AfriSam is expected to start commercial production on January 1, 2016.

DTI says Osho Cement will invest a total of R750 million in a project to manufacture cement in the IDZ and it has also been approved by Davies as a Green-field project. The department states that Osho Cement is expected to start commercial production in June next year.

The total potential amount of national revenue sacrifice as a result of the allowances is put at R142.9 million.

Confirming the investments this morning, Executive Manager; Business Development at the Coega Development Corporation (CDC) Christopher Mashigo said that both projects were currently at the stage where they were conducting environmental impact assessments and engineering design work.

Confirmation of the more than R1 billion investment by the two cement companies follows the announcement of the commissioning of the plants of two other companies in the IDZ involving a total investment of R700 million.

Agni Steels announced the commissioning of its R400 million steel billet plant while DCD Windtowers launched the commissioning of its plant that will manufacture the towers for the plethora of wind farms scattered across the Eastern Cape.

Mashigo revealed at the time that the CDC now has a pipeline of projects worth in excess of R140 billion.
